Lititz United Methodist Church Receives $2,500 Gift in Honor of Cargill Volunteer
LITITZ, Pa. — Cargill recently presented a Cargill Cares Volunteer Award to Eric Wanga of Mount Joy for his outstanding volunteer service. Wanga has volunteered 6 years at Lititz United Methodist Church, serving as a valuable committee member to support the church’s annual mission trip to Kenya.
To recognize his commitment to the community, Cargill has contributed $2,500 to Lititz United Methodist Church. Eric is among a special group of Cargill employees and retirees around the world to receive a Cargill Cares Volunteer Award since its inception in 1998.
“Cargill encourages our employees and retirees to give back to the community and is proud of the unselfish ways in which they enrich the communities where we conduct business,” said Mark Murphy, assistant vice president of Corporate Responsibility for Cargill. “The Cargill Cares Volunteer Awards program is one way we recognize and thank Cargill employees for their important contribution to our communities.”
“Eric has been a tremendous leader in this community for his work with the Lititz United Methodist Church. We are pleased to recognize his efforts,” said Doug Griffin, plant superintendent of Cargill’s cocoa and chocolate facility in Mount Joy.
